Hyper-Immunes                                                                                                                                                    

Hyper-immune products have a high concentration of a specific antibody, promoting passive immunization by providing a high titer of the necessary immune globulin. Hyper-immunes are administered for pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis concomitantly with the appropriate vaccine to prevent infection. Some hyper-immune products may also be used during certain types of surgery to prevent re-infection with a specific disease.
